Before installing the new Cross member, I choose to weld shut all the holes in the frame, grind down for added detail. The unused holes consisted of Steering box, leaf spring shackle mounts, fuel line clip holes, brake line and hose clip holes. Since the entire front portion of the frame was boxed completely the clip holes where completely unnecessary.
All new bike builds go thru miles of testing and tuning before going home to the Proud new Owner. Preachers Daughter - the latest completed bike is mine to abuse, for now.
Its been awhile since the Gangster Choppers blog has seen an update, due mainly to the improvements I have been performing to Felony Maker. Go to: FelonyMaker.blogspot.com for the latest news.
Thrashed the '59 another 80 miles on Sunday, and all is well. Rides and handles like a car! This pile of parts took the truck attitude right out of this 50 year old beast.
Cruised out Saturday night for a shake down run and also hit a couple cruise'n spots. Everything is doing great, noticed a squeel from the front right disk brake pad. I think I'll give it a few more miles then if needed I'll open it up and bend the tabs a little more snug.
The new independent front end assembly is done. A couple other improvements were made and so far (about 75 miles) all is well. The '59 is rolling on full size pick up tires and rides and handles great.
