WINNER WINNER, Gangster Choppers wins the International Motorcycle Show again for 2015. Our latest bike "Shakedown" was constructed to be the perfect chopper for long rides, taking that special passenger with you, and looking the part of a full on traditional chopper! Nothing super radical but a bike that takes 25 years of building experience to perfect. Enjoy the photos captured by our own Panhead Steve Baker of the awards ceremony.

Stand Up Guy

Larry and I met in 1992 when my everyday bike was an 1975 Ironhead Sportster. He was introduced to me by a mutual friend cause he knew alot about the old bikes and carburetors and generators... you get the picture. Anyone who has owned and maintained an Ironhead quickly learns how to work on them and Larry taught me tips and tricks first hand.

Standing in his shed looking at his Super Glide that he had just freshly built was better then a bike show. Larry had cleaned up his lifestyle and to keep himself busy he built this little Super Glide.

I have been proud for 23 years and counting to call Larry my friend.

Harley Davidson split cases

This is the worst Evo motor I have taken apart in quite awhile. The owner totally destroyed this Evo motor with lack of oil changes! Without a doubt the top end has already been rebuilt and from what I can tell the workmanship was ok. Just look at the photos and you will see the waste oil in the crankcase. You can notice the spun pinion race on the pinion shaft. When that seized the bearing started walking out the of case and pushed the oil pump drive shaft locking it up in the bushing it spins in. This motor is trash. 75% of the parts are not worth rebuilding. That is not to say the owner will agree.
